Baxolile Zwane

Started her career at the African Bank in the late 80s, then moved to work at FMCG companies within the Unilever Group in Durban, occupying key roles in Finance.

Joined PetroSA (the then Mossgas) in 1998 as a Refinery Accountant in Finance then served in Risk Management role with Trading. In 2008 she occupied the role of Marketing Manager in Europe (Rotterdam). Thereafter she was appointed at an Executive level as Vice President Trading Supply & Logistics (Acting) for six years up to March 2017.

In this role, she led and directed the Trading, Supply & Logistics (TS&L) executing purchases, sales, marketing, and distribution of petroleum products within South Africa and Internationally, generating Revenue in the region of R10bn per annum.

It was during her time when PetroSA was tasked with the project of filling the NMPP ( Pipeline from Durban to Johannesburg) with 150million litres of Diesel. That project was executed successfully through the Trading Supply and Logistics Division. The Diesel arrived on time, on specification and within the Product cost budget.

Baxolile facilitated the purchase of two Depots for PetroSA, one in Bloemfontein another in Tzaneen, adding to the infrastructure to enable PetroSA to expand its footprint.

She has travelled extensively internationally forming relationships for PetroSA with other National Oil Companies. Locally, she worked closely with all other Oil companies (BP, Shell, Engen, Total, Sasol and Chevron), and state owned entities like Transnet and Eskom.
